domani evolved through the teamwork of Caro Brewster & Jonathan Cull. Jonathan has owned and run Cull Antiques for the past 30 years and has been a member of LAPADA for 15. Caro has helped him at the Olympia Fine Art & Antiques Fairs for the last 10 years, and it was a combination of her enthusiasm and Jonathan’s expertise that led to the creation of domani 5 years ago, initially in Topsham and now in the vibrant city of Exeter.
Jonathan has always specialised in fine 18th/19th Century English Furniture and has a wonderful eye for originality, colour, patina and quality. Caro has always loved antiques but knew very little about them until she met Jonathan, and is still learning more each day! She also loves colourful, contemporary things and thought it would be much more fun and interesting to stock good quality modern items to complement the antiques as this is what most of us like to do at home, hence the name ‘domani’ meaning ‘tomorrow’, to illustrate the way forward. We both believe that every single item in our shop should be a good example of its kind, and our top priority is always quality.
While Jonathan drives thousands of miles sourcing good antiques, Caro enjoys discovering exciting modern pieces and meeting with clients in the shop. We aim to show the versatility and beauty of antiques as well as the potential for mixing them with contemporary accessories, and we find it so rewarding when customers come back again & again to say how much they are enjoying what they have bought from us.
We both look forward to seeing you here in Exeter and to welcoming all our existing clients as well as future customers.
