Good 18th Century Padouk Campaign Trunk of Devon Interest

A Magnificent 18th Century Padouk Campaign Trunk with fine original patina, bearing the owner's brass plate for 'Mr Forward, His Majesty's 21st Light Dragoons, Axminster, Devonshire'.  The trunk circa 1760, probably Anglo-Indian, with typical brass mounts and hinges, and a later brass inscription plate circa 1795-1800 for the Militia Officer Mr Forward.  This piece retains a lovely old surface commensurate with its age and usage
