Late 18th C Portuguese Lowboy in Gonçalo Alves wood

Late 18th Century Portuguese Lowboy in Gonçalo Alves wood (also known as Albuera), of rare small size. The lovely timber displays the typical contrasting colours of Goncalo Alves wood which was obtained from the Portuguese colony of Brazil.   This interesting little table with its shaped top and rails, cabriole legs with carved scrolls and webbed claw feet displays the sinuous character of Portuguese furniture.  Circa 1780
