Regency Watercolour of Ardilly House, Kenmare

A Fine Regency Watercolour of the lovely Ardilly House, Kenmare, Ireland, attributed to Frederick Calvert (1793-1852).  Frederick Calvert was an Irish artist, born in Cork.  After moving to London in 1827 he became well known for his marine paintings, but in the earlier part of his career he concentrated on landscape, such as this beautifully painted Ardilly House & grounds, a very good example of watercolour landscape painting of the period
