18th C Colonial Centre Table in satinwood & ebony
18th Century Colonial Satinwood and Ebony Centre Table, raised on carved cabriole legs. Possibly Singhalese, dating from the period of joint Anglo-Dutch sovereignty - the shell and husk carving being classically "Georgian" as are the claw feet, and the carved ebony spandrels and panels decidedly south Asian. Circa 1770-1780. Later castors, lock and handle
