19th C Louis XVI style Painted Daybed

A Fine 19th C Carved Daybed circa 1870, retaining the original blue/grey paintwork, the design deriving from Louis XVI Georges Jacob originals, and the Vitruvian scroll frieze gesso moulding based on a suite supplied to the Petit Trianon in 1805 by his son, F H G Jacob-Desmalter.  Whilst the paintwork is much distressed, it was preserved beneath a later layer of emulsion which has been carefully removed, and is a rare example of an accurate revival of Late 18th C taste in colour and deslgn
