19th Century Oak and Brass Small Campaign Trunk

A Superb Oak & Brass Small Campaign Trunk with silk lined & padded interior, rare inset handles and the number 22 altered from 20, - the 20 denoting the 20th Regiment of Foot (1782-1881), later altered to 22, denoting the Cheshire Regiment.  This would have been an officer's trunk for transporting his important military regalia on campaign, and still retains the original lock and key.  Circa 1860
