A Fine Chippendale period "Plum Pudding" Mahogany Chest of superb figure, colour & patina, with the original finely cast and chased handles, good oak linings with the original locks, and original feet.  "Plum Pudding" is a colloquial term for mahogany of a dense, mottled figuring, and is generally found only on better examples of mid Georgian furniture.  Early Geo III, circa 1760.
