A Fine Geo II Walnut & Oak Chest of superb colour and patina, the cockbeaded drawers quartered and banded, the top being of matched figured oak boards, with oak sides, feet, back & drawer linings. Circa 1740.
This Chest would originally have stood on a low stand, as indicated by the top moulding, the oak feet dating to the early 19th Century. The replacement brassware follows the pattern of the originals, and the outstanding warmth of colour speaks for itself.
