Fine Geo III Mahogany Bonheur du Jour of rare design, the cabinet top fitted with drawers and pigeon-holes behind serpentine panelled doors cornered with gilt vine leaf clasps, above a serpentine front writing drawer fitted with a baize slide, retaining the original brasses and raised on chamfer legs.  This unusual design pre-dates the more usual Sheraton type of Bonheur du Jour, being both robust and very useful.  A versatile and beautiful writing desk.
